The upcoming Legends Bay Casino in Nevada will have a sportsbook operated by Circa Sports

Reportedly, the American sportsbook operator Circa Sports has signed a contract with Olympia Gaming to introduce sportsbetting to the Legends Bay Casino in the western Nevada city of Sparks.

An 80,000-square-foot casino with a variety of slot machines, gaming tables, and video poker machines will reportedly open at the new facility near to The Outlets at Legends retail mall later this summer, as reported by the Associated Press on Sunday. According to the source, a sportsbook run by Circa Sports and a number of dining options will round out the package.

Evolutionary growth:

In addition to providing a mobile-friendly sportsbetting app to fans in Iowa and Colorado, Circa Sports is reportedly already in charge of retail sportsbooks at five Nevada casinos, including The D Hotel and Casino, Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, Circa Resort and Casino, Tuscany Suites and Casino, and The Pass Casino. According to reports from last week, the Las Vegas-based company has also been selected to manage the sports betting service housed within the $500 million American Place project being developed by Full House Resorts Incorporated in the northern Illinois city of Waukegan.

Positive outlook:

Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens (pictured) reportedly told the Associated Press that the upcoming Legends Bay Casino will be "the first ground-up casino in the Reno-Sparks area to be built in 30-plus years" and that the company's new partnership with Olympia Gaming is the "icing on the cake."

The reports say that Stevens said 

We are excited to expand our brand into a new region of the state through our partnership with Olympia Gaming, and we look forward to offering an outstanding sportsbook to the venue. The opportunity to open our first Circa Sports store in northern Nevada was too good to pass up.

Exhilarating comeback:

Olympia Gaming, a subsidiary of local property developer Garry Goett's The Olympia Companies, purportedly announced plans to build a casino within the Sparks retail centre back in 2007, but the project was put on hold indefinitely because of a lack of funds. The Las Vegas company allegedly revived the Washoe County plan only last year to add casinos to the existing retail centre and hotels (totaling 45 stores and 100 rooms).

Profits shared:

Goett reportedly stated that his company's upcoming Legends Bay Casino will debut with "a one-of-a-kind sports wagering offering" thanks to the partnership with Circa Sports, which could also benefit Red Development LLC's neighbouring The Outlets at Legends by increasing sales, foot traffic, and tenant retention.
