Opening Night at the Pickering Casino Resort

After much anticipation, the Pickering Casino Resort opened to the public Thursday night.

Many celebrities and potential customers attended the $500 million casino's grand opening celebration. The Canadian singer and composer Bryan Adams, who is now considered a legend in his own country, performed at the opening, making it an event no one will forget. 

The inaugural night of the casino featured several ceremonial confetti cannons, which left the attendees in a state of awe. 

Great party with important guests:

Great Canadian Entertainment CEO Matt Antinson welcomed visitors and declared the new landmark resort open. 

Pickering Mayor Kevin Ashe, Ontario Minister of Finance Peter Bethlenfalvy, and OGL President and CEO Duncan Hannay were among the more than 300 attendees. In his review, Hannay called the facility "the most modern casino in Ontario."

Everyone took part in the celebrations; Mayor Ashe counted down to the opening, and Anfinson clicked the red button that released the confetti. 

Guests were treated to a performance by Bryan Adams after a beautiful dinner reception. The Arena, which can hold up to 2,500 people, hosted his show.

Pickering Casino Resort thought the opening would be a wonderful time to share some exciting news. Ajax Pickering Hospital Foundation received a generous donation of $50,000 from the corporation, which will have a significant effect on the quality of health care in the Durham Area.

The new casino is a welcome addition to the Durham Live entertainment campus, a popular destination appreciated by many. With over 2,000 slot machines, 90 table games, a hotel with 275 luxury suites, wellness and business centres, and more, the Pickering Casino Resort is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood.
